The Forest เป็นเกมแนวเอาชีวิตรอดที่ให้อิสระกับผู้เล่นเพื่อดำรงชีวิตอยู่ภายในป่ารวมไปถึงจะต้องหาทางรอดจากธรรมชาติอันแสนโหดร้ายนี้ไปให้ได้ นอกจากนี้คุณจะต้องเผชิญกับฝูงมนุษย์กินคนอีกด้วย The Forest จะแตกต่างจากเกมในแนว Survival-Horror ทั่วๆ ไปตรงที่ตัวเกมจะมีเรื่องราวที่น่าติดตามมาพร้อมกับปริศนาสุดประหลาดของพวกมนุษย์กินคนสุดสยองในป่ามรณะที่รอคอยให้คุณมาค้นหาคำตอบแก้ปริศนาสุดระทึกไปพร้อมกับการหาทางออกจากป่าแห่งนี้ด้วยตัวของคุณเอง
